Invisalign aligners are becoming popular as an alternative to traditional metal braces for adults looking to straighten their teeth. Invisalign is a clear aligner system that uses custom-made trays made of smooth, comfortable, virtually invisible plastic material to shift teeth gently into their desired position.

Invisalign aligners are made from clear plastic, making them much less noticeable than traditional metal braces. This can be a significant advantage for adults and teens who want to straighten their teeth without drawing attention.
Unlike traditional braces, you can remove Invisalign aligners when you eat, drink, brush and floss. This can make maintaining your oral hygiene easier compared to traditional braces.
Invisalign aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth precisely, which often makes them more comfortable to wear than traditional braces. There are no wires or brackets that can irritate your mouth. Plus, your smile is shaped more gently and with less pain than braces. A 2013 patient survey revealed that Invisalign's SmartTrack material significantly reduced pain intensity, duration and pressure upon insertion.
Fewer adjustments are needed because Invisalign aligners are designed from the start of treatment. This means less time at the dentist's or orthodontist's office.
Invisalign treatment includes a plan that shows how your teeth will move at each stage and what they'll look like at the end of treatment. This can give you a clear vision of your treatment outcome. Compared with clear aligners made of off-the-shelf, single-layer .030-inch material, Invisalign's proprietary SmartTrack material can straighten your teeth with 75% more predictability.
With traditional braces, certain foods can get stuck and cause problems. But since Invisalign aligners are removable, you can eat whatever you like. However, you still need to be mindful of foods and drinks that can cause staining damage to your natural teeth, such as coffee, tea or soda.
Straighter teeth can lead to healthier gums, improved hygiene, and reduced risk of gum and tooth erosion.
The first step in our Invisalign treatment process is a consultation with one of our experienced dentists. During this appointment, we will evaluate your teeth and determine if Invisalign is the right treatment.
If Invisalign is deemed suitable for your needs, we will create a customized treatment plan using advanced 3D computer imaging technology. This will show the series of movements your teeth will go through during treatment.
Using the 3D images, a series of custom-made aligners are created specifically for your teeth and treatment plan.
You will wear each set of aligners at least 20 to 22 hours per day for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you progress through each set of aligners, your teeth gradually move until they reach the desired position.
Depending on our treatment plan, you will visit our office for a checkup so we can monitor your progress and ensure that treatment is on track.
